Will's Final Thoughts on Peace Summit
For a Middle East peace plan I think that the Israeli government and the PLO should get together and have a serious conversation about the rights of the Israelis and the rights of the Palestinians. They should make some important decisions about the conflict. I think that the Palestinians should get more rights, as they do not have enough rights. I also think that they should get rid of the checkpoints because they prevent the Palestinians from leaving. I also think that the Palestinians should be able to go into Jerusalem. With all of these changes together, there would be much more peace.
Having been able to get so much information over this unit, I think that I have become much more aware of other things that have happened in Israel. It was very interesting to read the book Three Wishes and to see the movie Promises because these showed real kids from Israel and Palestine and they shared their opinions about the conflict. The book was very sad because some people really got hurt because of the conflict. I think that we can prevent this by just having the Israeli people and the Palestinian people talk. I think that by talking the Israelis and the Palestinians can talk their way to peace.
