An Interview with Faraj
1. What rights should the Palestinian refugees have?
As long as we don't have access to bombs or bomb materials, we should have the rights to pass through checkpoints without being stopped and have the rights to live in Jerusalem if we pay taxes and be good citizens. We need to earn back their trust.
2. What should be the status of Jerusalem?
Jerusalem should be for the Palestinians because we were here first, and the Israelis have done horrible things to us, but a compromise could be made.
The Israelis need to be able talk with Arabs, and Arabs need to trust Israelis. Both sides need less fear and more trust.3. What should be the status of the West Bank and Gaza, currently occupied by Israel?
The West Bank and Gaza should also be ours because we were here first and the Jews don't deserve to be in Israel and take our land. But maybe we could make a compromise. The Palestinian people should be able to go wherever they want. It is our country too. The Israelis should share Jerusalem as well.
4. Should the United States give aid to either the Israelis or the Palestinians-or both of them? If so what kind of aid?
I think that the Palestinians should get money and army supplies so that we can fight back against the Jews effectively without them crushing us like they have been doing in the past. The US is giving money to israel to murder Palestinian people, the US needs to only give money to the wounded, and the people who need the money for better reasons.
5. What additional ideas or proposals can you make to bring about a peace and just solution to the Israeli-Palestinian crisis?
We could finally agree to share Israel equally and have rights (equal rights) for all who live here. We need to share the country.
