Justin's Final Thoughts on Peace Summit

Most of the proposals that were passed were just ones out of fairness to the Palestinians, or to the Israelis. Although there were complete ludicrous ones like America should give aid to Israel, and Israel only. If one side got aid from America, that would pose a real imbalance of power, and Israel or Palestine would be able to just destroy the other completely and quickly. Another one that wasn't fair that had passed was that Israel got three-fourths of the help for whatever they wanted, and Palestine got one-fourth for only things like food and water. Also, some good proposals were denied, like to remove the checkpoint into Jerusalem from the West Bank, or another one was to make the Arab-Israeli citizens, which also got denied. Things like this show how selfish the Arabs and Jews are, and I hope they both would just stop fighting for once and come to an agreement that would just let both coexist peacefully. As for Jerusalem, why don't they do what they did with the Vatican, and make it its own country? Therefore, nobody had to fight over it, and it is its own country for everybody to enjoy. Just look how well that worked with the Vatican, nothing bad has happened to it, and nobody is fighting over it. Also, about Promises, what they did was right. If the children cannot meet each other now, there will just be another generation of slaughter and massacre. Without them getting to know each other, they will never become friends, and stop all of this insane fighting!

  1. I like how you thought about the proposals we did in class. It is interesting how you have thought of many ways to think of peace.
