Finn's Final Thoughts on Peace Summit

The movie Promises explained how kids wanted to have peace. However, at the end of the movie they were more grown up and not thinking about the conflicts but rather about their own lives and their problems. The proposals that we made in class today were fair, but I don't think the Israelis and Palestinians people would try to reach out to one another if they had these resolutions. The most religiously-based proposal was that Jerusalem is a neutral area and both Israeli and Palestinian people could roam around freely. That would be a good idea, but the conflicts would just be contained in one area and there would be outbreaks because they wouldn't want to be around the each other. Overall, there were many good ideas, but I think that the only option for peace is if political leaders from Palestine and Israel become friends and make the nation peaceful.
