Dylan's Final Thoughts on Peace Summit

I feel that I have learned a lot about the Israel-Palestine conflict. Promises and Three Wishes helped me realize that there are two sides to the conflict, and each side has grievances. The Israelis have been suffering from the attacks from Palestinians, and had the Holocaust. The Palestinians have suffered from all the power the Israelis have. After reading Habibi, I learned that these grievances are much worse than I thought. Both Israel and Palestine are troubled. The U.S. supports the Israelis. I now realize that this conflict is based around the U.S. in a way. If the U.S. were helping out the Palestinians, the whole situation would probably be extremely different. After figuring out that Palestinian and Israeli kids are so much alike, I feel that they should be treated equally.
